Founder - Emma Keogh
CEO and Founding Director of Equieire, Emma Keogh is from Dublin, Ireland. From childhood, Emma spent every opportunity at the local stables. This passion for horses grew steadily over the years and at seventeen, Emma moved to Kilkenny to attend a professional equestrian college where she trained in all aspects of equestrianism.
During her college time Emma achieved professional qualifications in grooming, stable management, riding and coaching. She was awarded her British Horse Society Stage 4 Senior Coach (BHSI) qualification as well as qualifying as a Horse Sport Ireland Level 1 Equestrian Coach.
Throughout her career Emma has successfully held management roles in several businesses and sectors and has enjoyed coaching students across the country. Emma returned to college in recent years to study psychology, leadership and entrepreneurship. As part of her psychology thesis, Emma developed a research programme which investigated the Psychological Benefits of Equine-Assisted for Early School Leavers. The psychological benefits of interacting with horses are cited so often by so many horse owners that it is no wonder that this can also be seen in school leavers.
In Equieire, the most recent chapter in Emma’s life, she continues to follow her childhood passion for horses and equestrian sport. Emma founded the business after intensive customer research within the industry. This research allowed her to realise a niche opportunity to grow an Irish equestrian business with sustainability and suitability at heart.
